Minor v. Happersett, 88 U.S. 162, 168.

1875 Supreme Court Decison, Minor v. Happersett, 88 U.S. 162, 168.

The pertinent text of the decision, concerning the issue of what constitutes a “natural-born” citizen, is as follows:

The Constitution does not, in words, say who shall be natural-born citizens. Resort must be had elsewhere to ascertain that. At common-law, with the nomenclature of which the framers of the Constitution were familiar, it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives, or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners.”

Note the key words, “all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also”

I have been slammed by some old friends simply by posting this text from a Supreme Court decision, which would indicate that our current POTUS does not satisfy our US Constitutional requirements of “natural-born” for the office of President, irregardless of where he was born. Obama’s father was a Kenyan, and as such was a British subject at the time of Obama’s birth.

The Economy is Getting Better? Don’t Believe It, It’s Time To Prepare!

Don’t believe the elite media and the Obama Administration’s claims that the economy is getting better, it isn’t. The employment rate today is about 64%, compared to the official unemployment figures slightly under 9%. Bush was roundly criticized when only 400,000 jobs were added per month, today Obama is celebrated when a couple hundred thousand are added, not near enough to keep pace with those entering the job market for the first time. Gas prices are approaching an all-time high again, and Obama claims no silver bullet can change that. The truth is that official policy can go a long way to getting us back to cheap energy, which this administration has fought and even tossed up road-blocks every step of the way. Housing is still in the dumps, and the Dems are still taking steps to keep people in homes that they couldn’t afford to be in to begin with, also due to Democratic policy.

Here is a great listing of indicators which clearly show that things are only getting worse, not better. The silver bullet for our economy will be to retire Obama next November.

If The Economy Is Improving….

If the economy is getting better, then why did new home sales in the United States hit a brand new all-time record low during 2011?

If the economy is getting better, then why are there 6 million less jobs in America today than there were before the recession started?

If the economy is getting better, then why is the average duration of unemployment in this country close to an all-time record high?

The Forgotten Man

Against the background of a darkening sky, The Forgotten Manall of the past Presidents of the United States gather before the White House, as if to commemorate some great event.

In the left hand corner of the painting sits a man. That man, with his head bowed appears distraught and hopeless as he contemplates his future.

Some of the past Presidents try to console him while looking in the direction of the modern Presidents as if to say, “What have you done?”

Many of these modern Presidents, seemingly oblivious to anything other than themselves, appear to be congratulating each other on their great accomplishments.

In front of the man, paper trash is blowing in the wind. Crumpled dollar bills, legislative documents, and, like a whisper—the U.S. Constitution beneath the foot of Barack Obama.

Jon McNaughton

painted this work, and explains his thought process in the following YouTube. As you can see, all of the modern Presidents are congratulating themselves, while our Founders are reacting in horror at what we have done.

Ron Paul’s defense strategy

We all knew that Ron Paul has a naive at best national defense strategy. It seems that he had been working with Barney Frank on something called a Sustainable Defense Strategy. Barney Frank, really? Glenn Beck fills in the blanks, with . . . you won’t believe this . . . George Soros.

Beck Outs “Progressive” Gingrich

I confess, I was about ready to hop on the Gingrich bandwagon. he’s for smaller government, empowering individuals instead of government for health, social security and medicare, wants to abolish Obamacare, is for developing our own God-given energy resources, to mention a few of the reasons why I like Newt.

Newt’s 21st Century Contract For America is a fine start, and presents an outline in much greater specificity than any other candidate, including Obama. So what’s not to like?

It turns out, that like Romney, Gingrich is a self-proclaimed progressive, and thinks that FDR was the greatest President in US history.

Beck tells the whole sordid tale here
