Peter Schiff Speaks to the House

Peter Schiff is a patriot. He is also an Austrian School economist, and is one of the few who predicted the economic crash of 2008.

“The United States economy is like the Titanic and I am here with the lifeboat trying to get people to leave the ship… I see a real financial crisis coming for the United States.”  On December 31, 2006 in debate on Fox News, Schiff forecast that “what’s going to happen in 2007” is that “real estate prices are going to come crashing back down to Earth”

His testimony before the House jobs committee is worth listening to.

Majority Leader Cantor lists Top Ten proposed Job Killers

Majority Leader Cantor is scheduling weekly votes in the House to kill several Obama proposed regulations, which, if allowed to become “rules” will cost millions of jobs.

He released a memo to House Republicans outlining the agenda. Seven of the top ten jobs killers are EPA regulations. His memo must have already had an impact, since President Obama has since asked the EPA to withdraw a proposed stricter ozone rule. The EPA action on ozone was unprecedented, since the Clean Air Act regularly comes under review every five years with the next review due in 2013.

Obama Asks EPA to Pull Ozone Rule

President Barack Obama, citing the struggling economy, asked the Environmental Protection Agency on Friday to withdraw an air-quality rule that Republicans and business groups said would cost millions of jobs.

The surprise move—coming on the same day as a dismal unemployment report—reflected the energy industry’s importance as a rare bright spot in adding U.S. jobs.

Marco Rubio Sets the Record Straight on the Debt Ceiling Debate

Rubio points out that the Senate has not even discussed a budget, let alone passed one for over two and one half years.

If Marco keeps up this passionate and articulate hit ’em between the eyes common sense talk I predict that he’ll be Pres sooner rather than later.

What Motivates Obama?

Yes, I know that all politicians do it, speaking out of both sides of their mouth. Obama makes John Kerry look like a rank amateur as a “flipper”.

  • He campaigned on closing GITMO, thankfully he saw the light and is leaving it open for now
  • He voted against going to Iraq as a Senator, said we needn’t be there, yet we’re still there.
  • Took over ninety days to authorize the Afghanistan “surge” and announced our withdrawal date to the whole world at the same time
  • Killed the second installation of  our “Star Wars” missile defense system in eastern Europe, in the direct flight path of Iran
  • Killed all future NASA manned space programs, redirecting their focus on “climate-change”
  • Began military actions in Somalia, Libya, and Yemen without Congressional authorization
