Communism has only killed around 110 million people

First, some definitions.

Marxism, Communism (big or little “C”), Socialism, Fascism. and progressivism are all different names for the same thing, namely, central government control of the subjects lives and thoughts. And deaths to those who are inconvenient to the ends of their utopian goals.

I first started this investigation back in 2004 when John Kerry was opposing George “Dubbya” Bush for re-election, since I believed then, and still do today that he is a communist sympathizer. The Democratic Party today is full of John Kerry wannabees, google the “Progressive Caucus” some time for more info.

President Obama has accelerated our journey as a people and as a country along this path at a rate unheard of before. Or at least since Hitler in Germany and the Reichstag fire.

So here’s the straight poop:

In sum the communist probably have murdered something like 110 000 000, or near two-thirds of all those killed by all governments, quasi-governments, and guerrillas from 1900 to 1987. Of course, the world total itself it shocking. It is several times the 38 000 000 battle-dead that have been killed in all this century’s international and domestic wars. Yet the probable number of murders by the Soviet Union alone–one communist country– well surpasses this cost of war. And those murders of communist China almost equal it.      ~ Link ~

Quote of the Day

“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it on to our children in the blood stream. It must be fought for and protected and handed on for them to do the same. Or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and grandchildren what is used to be like in the United States when men were free.”

– Ronald Reagan

To the Apple Board of Directors and the Apple Community:

I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.

I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. I would like to serve, if the Board sees fit, as Chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee.

As far as my successor goes, I strongly recommend that we execute our succession plan and name Tim Cook as CEO of Apple.

I believe Apple’s brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it. And I look forward to watching and contributing to its success in a new role.

I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you.

Steve

Remembering Steve Jobs, the man who saved Apple

“Every once in a while a revolutionary product comes along that changes everything,” Jobs said at the 2007 Macworld Expo keynote when he pulled the first iPhone out of his pants pocket. “One is very fortunate if you get to work on just one of these in your career. Apple’s been very fortunate. It’s been able to introduce a few of these into the world.

The first rock and roll song

The first rock and roll song is widely attributed to  Jackie Brenston and his Delta Cats, which was actually Ike Turner and the Kings of Rhythm. It was recorded in Memphis by Sam Phillips in March 1951 and was released (strangely?) by Chess Records. (perhaps Phillips hadn’t started Sun Records yet)

About three months later, Rocket 88 was covered by  Bill Haley and the Saddlemen. Both versions have been cited as the first rock and roll recording.

Here is Jackie Brenston and his Delta Cats: Rocket 88

Bill Haley and the Saddlemen’s version follows.

Peter Schiff weighs in on taxes & regulations

Peter Schiff appeared on Huckabee and shares his experiences with needlessly complicated government regulations. He explained how he was fined for hiring too many people, and why he needed to setup an off shore subsidiary instead of expanding his US presence.

Schiff is CEO of Euro Pacific Capital, a best-selling author, and former candidate for Senate in CT. He has also testified before Congress on numerous occasions about economic and fiscal issues.
