Clemons Plays Our National Anthem

Clarence Clemons, sax man in the E Street Band, plays our National Anthem to open a Marlin – Mets game last April 4. He suffered a severe stroke yesterday. Let’s hope he makes a full recovery.

It is refreshing to hear our National Anthem played reverently, respectfully, and without embellishment. Clarence Clemons is a patriot.

Song of the Day: I’m A Road Runner

Born in Arkansas, Jr Walker was from South Bend, IN, and later moved to Battle Creek after his band became “Junior Walker & the All-Stars”

The All Stars were an early hit at Motown. Here is the original “I’m a Road Runner”  which Humble Pie later had a huge hit with.
